Red Touch Media Offers Digital Content Distribution to Filmmakers at Sundance 2013

Filmmakers and studios connect with key audiences through the Red Touch Media Product Suite

SALT LAKE CITY, Jan. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Red Touch Media, the Salt Lake City, Utah-based technology company behind the fastest-growing digital media content management platform in the entertainment industry, has brought its suite of products – Bridge, Connect, and Express – to this year's Sundance Film Festival in Park City, UT. Filmmakers and studios can leverage the Red Touch Bridge and Express products to deliver their films and content to target audiences through the web and mobile devices.  Additionally, advertisers and brands can leverage Red Touch Connect to deliver extremely relevant ads to consumers.

Red Touch Media (RTM) created the product suite with filmmakers and studios specifically in mind. To erase the headache of thousands of DVD screeners, unsecure distribution tactics and unmanageable analytics, RTM created Red Touch Bridge, an end-to-end digital delivery platform for studios to deliver trailers, screeners and sales materials to their audiences. All festival-goers and media are invited to the Red Touch Media Social Lounge at 427 Main Street (downstairs at Park City live) to download complimentary movies, music, and e-books and check out the products.

"Given we're headquartered in Salt Lake City, the Sundance Film Festival is an event near and dear to our heart. The independent spirit and creativity shared at the festival closely mirror the way we run our company," said Wayne Scholes , CEO, Red Touch Media. "We strive to make film distribution seamless and secure so our clients get the most return on investment, redefining the consumer experience around content.  Our main goal is for filmmakers – independent and more established – to get their films out to their audiences. "

As a pioneer in digital content management and DRM, NBC Universal, Warner Music Group, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures, EMI and HDNet are early adopters using Red Touch Media products today. Combined with the interactive download stations and launch of its new mobile offerings, the company hopes to establish itself as a preferred source of digital content for consumers.

Red Touch Media is based in Salt Lake City, Utah, with additional offices in Johannesburg, New York, Los Angeles and London. The company plans to expand its global reach to additional locations in Europe and Asia in 2013. The company currently serves an audience of more than 3 million consumers worldwide.

A health focused social network of support

Healtheo360 is a very amazing and profound social network that focuses on support for individuals undergoing life changing conditions such as diabetes, cancer and heart disease.

The network gives both care givers and patients a voice and platform for expression where they can connect and get support.

Users of the network can upload videos or tell their stories by text fairly easily. We understand the site is in BETA, but they are allowing a limited number of users to join currently. From what we understand Healtheo360 has a lot of partnerships and groups already formed. Take a look at the diabetes support group for instance. It is just in it's infancy within the network, but the organization has big plans to roll out more engagement and interactive features quickly.

Top quality shaving for men infused with sake

Recently we took notice of a very interesting men's care brand called Kyoku For Men that provides high quality grooming products for the GQ man in you.

Our attention was drawn to Kyoku after Men's Health rated their razor repair cream the "Best New Post Shave Product." They have also won favor with Men's Health for it's shaving cream.

The Kyoku shaving cream is sake infused. Tiny silicon particles help guide a clean, effortless shave. The product has a dual phase cellular anti-inflammatory complex, which sets it apart from others.

Best juice cleanse... period.

So, I just tried a new juice cleanse and I finally found one that I love. I think it's the variety of juices based on a schedule, makes this cleanse more realistic for me and my busy daily schedule.

I was hoping to find a simple, detoxing program that wouldn't be too much a shock to my system. Cooler Cleanse is the one I discovered, and I love it.

I tried a 3 day juice cleanse, because I have enough experience with cleanses to know that I am not a natural. (I get grumpy... and that's not good for anyone in my office.)

Above: Image take from the Cooler Cleanse site.

I think what I like most is that this short cleanse works well with busy schedules, and gives a combined caloric intake of approximately 1,200 daily calories, which fights off grumpiness. Also, it simply tastes good.

Great wedding cake blog

We recently had a friend get married, and I marveled over how amazing and dazzling their wedding cake was. It is quite spectacular how ornate wedding cakes can be today. So, we found this photo of what their wedding cake looked like. They said is wasn't original--that they copied a photo on the internet, but it was a great cake never the less.

AT&T plans to shift to natural-gas vans

AT&T has been committed to alternative fuel vehicles. The company has a plan (from the summer of 2009) to spend $565 million purchasing 15,000 alternative fuel vehicles.

In their initial part of this plan, the company converted about 600 Ford E-Series vans to run on compressed natural gas. In the process, the company is phasing out it's fleet of gas power vehicles in favor of this new breed of alternative energy vehicles.

Compressed gas vehicles create 20 percent less greenhouse gas emissions than traditional vehicles--similar to corn-based ethanol. The vehicles can also greatly improve fuel economy--by as much as 39-percent.

Video games can make great holiday gifts for time-deficient givers

If you are looking for a great holiday gift at the last minute, try video games.

There are great games for just about anyone, and the best part of it is that they can be downloaded in an instant. You can download games for both the PC and Mac (or Linux), and the gift will arrive by email alongside a personal message from the giver. Here are a couple great sources for hot titles: Activision, Electronic Arts and Ubisoft.

Where is mobile shopping hot?

Ebay released a heat map graphic using Google Maps that shows where in the country is mobile shopping hot. Metropolitan areas, as expected, are better for mobile shopping than rural areas. San Francisco is one of the leaders in mobile e-tail.  South Dakota and rural Illinois....not so much. A new website by EBay shows the activity of mobile shopping as a big green mess with pockets of empty, sad spaces. Fortunately, you can zoom into the state level to get a better picture, but the timeline graph which breaks down the past few days by category and region is quite interesting.

Outline of a scammer: DecorMyEyes.com

The NYTimes recently wrote an article A Bully Finds a Pulpit on the Web, which described how Google can be used as a vehicle for helping bad businesses bring in big profits. The article tells the story of a Ms. Rodriguez who orders eye wear from DecorMyEyes.com and has a truly terrifying experience, which results in the owner of the online store stalking and harassing the customer long after their initial disagreement. The article continues to describe how the owner of DecorMyEyes.com, Vitaly Borker, who works under a number of pseudo names, actually has worked bad publicity and negative comments into his business plan for scoring high on Google.

The owner of the website is quoted as saying: “Hello, My name is Stanley with DecorMyEyes.com...I just wanted to let you guys know that the more replies you people post, the more business and the more hits and sales I get. My goal is NEGATIVE advertisement.”

This article presents a very compelling case for a change in search practices that focus on concepts of "positive" and "negative" responses to brands and websites, rather than treat all references as referrals.
